We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.

As members of the church we believe that the godhead are three separate beings who serve the same role and work together for the purpose of helping us come closer to him and being able to return to him again.
In the bible dictionary under God it states "We learn from the revelations that have been given that there are three separate persons in the Godhead: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost."
We believe that the holy ghost is a spirit and that Heavenly Father and Christ have bodies.
In doctrine and covenants section 20 verse 73 it says that when you are baptized they are baptized in the name of the FATHER the SON AND the Holy Ghost. Each of them are separate beings. They all have their own role. the Holy Ghost is the comforter. Because he is only a spirit he can dwell with us and we can feel his presence as we are following christ. He helps us know the correct choices and know how to find answers.
Christ is our savior. He came down to the earth to live as a perfect example. He taught the people what we need to do to follow him. A key role in him coming to the earth was the atonement. He suffered for us and died for us so we could live with him again.
Heavenly Father is our God. He is our father in heaven. We were created in his image and we can become like him. We are following his plan and his example so we can return to be with him again.
We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.

In second Nephi chapter two verse 25 it says that "Adam fell that men might be and men are, that they might have joy." It was part of the plan to have the fall of Adam and Eve. They had their agency to chose whether or not to partake of the fruit. With them taking the fruit they were able to know good and evil. They needed to know the difference between good and evil and partaking of the fruit helped them with that. And we will not be punished and have a chance to become perfect even though there was the fall. The fall was necessary to our salvation an for us to come to the earth.
We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.

Christ suffered for our sins in the garden of Gethsemani. He took upon all of our sins for us. Because he felt everything we have  he can be our advocate. In Romans chapter 5 verses 11-13 it says that we can find joy through the atonement because he overcame sin and death. It is up to us to accept his teachings and turn to him for guidance so we can be forgiven. As we are obedient and follow christ we can have the opportunity to be saved through the atonement.
We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second,Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.

In second Nephi chapter 31 it talks about the steps we need to take to return to christ. Prior to making any covenants we must have faith in Christ. Because we are making promises to live like he did. We need to start at having faith before we are willing to act. Following that we need to make the steps to repent to become more like him. Repentance is change. We are changing to become like him. That is when we get baptized through water. After we get baptized we receive the companionship of the holy ghost. It is not over after that. We have to be constantly changing to become better and be Christlike. We prepare each week to partake of the sacrament that is showing faith, repentance, and renewing our covenants. As we assess our life we can see what part of the christlike cycle we are on and how we can continue to change to be better.
